LAB SCREENING

LAB's screening translates how you move and perform into data. A biomechanical LAB SCAN maps your strengths, weaknesses and training zones, so your programme starts from facts.

LAB OVERVIEW

Intake

On the day of your test, we start with an intake interview that goes deeper into your goals and training possibilities. This way, we can give you specific training advice after the test.

Review Results

After screening our coach will prepare your test report. The report is discussed in a second appointment. During the discussion there is room for questions, and you will be given concrete tips to take home with you that you can apply during your future training sessions.
LAB SCAN

The LAB SCAN captures the direction, speed and force of each body movement using 7 motion capture cameras and two synchronized force plates. The cameras are set up around the client and record the 3D position of reflective markers placed on the body during a series of movements. The force plates on the floor add information on the exact amount of force produced during each movement.

A lactate test measures how your body responds as exercise gets harder, by tracking the lactate in your blood while you push. You ride a bike or run on a treadmill at an effort that rises in stages, and we take a small blood sample at each stage to read your lactate level.

From those readings we plot your personal lactate curve: the point where your body shifts from working mostly aerobically to leaning on anaerobic metabolism. That threshold shows how you actually perform under load, something generic training zones cannot tell you.

We then build your training zones around your own physiology, so every session sits at the right intensity for you rather than an average.
